With tremendous pleasure we publish here some pictures from Erwin & Christel’s weekend in Venice. Erwin & Christel are the winning couple of the 2012 edition of Archetipo photo contest “Archetipo’s Brides and Grooms”.
The wonderful love story of the Dutch couple peaked with a unique wedding. On his most special day, Erwin was wearing a wonderful Cleofe Finati suit by Archetipo. You can see all the pictures of their wedding in our post “Erwin & Christel – Newlyweds by Archetipo“.
Thanks to the amazing pictures of him wearing his Archetipo garment, the last year Erwin could take part in our contest “Archetipo’s Brides and Grooms”. Winning was an easy thing. The award was a romantic weekend in Venice, with travel expenses and dinners offered by Archetipo.
The groom bought his Archetipo suit at Valkengoed boutique, located in Prinses Julianaplein 4-5, in Amersfoort (The Netherlands). Great was the joy of Sander, the owner of the store, when he got the news that his customer and friend Erwin won the contest!
On October 18th the Archetipo Team welcomed Erwin & Christel at Marco Polo airport in Venice. The prizegiving took place in the main hall of Hotel Laguna Palace in Venice. “The Laguna hotel was great, big room, nice people, a very good breakfast and dinner” told us Erwin.
The weekend was great, with the contribution of the beautiful weather that offered an almost Spring climate. On Saturday Erwin & Christel discovered the secrets of Venice with the help of a tour guide. Of course they went on a tour on the traditional gondola and then went shopping the typical souvenirs of the Venetian land.
On Saturday night Archetipo reserved a table for the couple at the prestigious restaurant of Hotel Principe, overlooking the Grand Canal, at the heart of Venice. The restaurant brought to the table only the best Italian cuisine, with fresh and season ingredients. Music entertainment added a romantic note to the dinner. “We had a table by the window with a view at the Grand Canal” said Erwin. “The dinner was very good and a piano man was playing romantic songs for us. After our dinner we spent our last moments in Venice.”
As usually happens in these occasions, time flew and on Sunday afternoon Erwin & Christel took the flight that led them back home. We are so happy we had the chance to personally meet the couple and we hope they will come visit us again soon!
