ELIZABETH II AND PHILLIP, LOVE AND ROYALTY FOR A LIFETIME

Having met while still young boys, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Consort Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, have lived a life of love and royalty, facing family, social and political challenges.

United for seventy-four years of marriage, they entered into the hearts of millions, which is why I feel compelled to say that, when in April 2021 the Duke of Edinburgh passed away, we all grieved for such a painful conclusion to what can only be described as a true love story. And when, on 8 September this year, Queen Elizabeth II also passed away, despite the pain of losing a historical figure who witnessed events that shook the world for the last seventy years, it is nice to think that they have finally been reunited.

Always impeccable in public and international relations, despite the strict protocol of court, they always appeared as a steadfast and united couple even at times when the institution of the monarchy faced a period of stalemate. So, we can only admire this couple that has entered thousands of hearts without allowing the outside world to truly enter into what was their daily life.
